The Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition takes place every 2 years, alternately in France and Japan. In 2023, the 6th edition took place in Yokosuka, Japan.

The 7th Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition will take place in France, in Rouen, from October 18 to 25, 2025, at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional and at the Chapelle Corneille. Registration will be open from December 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

For young clarinetists from all over the world, it is an opportunity to make themselves known to the public, and for the public, it is a unique opportunity to discover the new talents of today and tomorrow.
