The fourth edition of the Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition took place from August 26 to September 2 in Yokosuka, Japan.
At the end of the first three rounds, 5 finalists were selected:
• Tiago Bento (Portugal)
• Alessandro Beverari (Italy)
• Youjin Jung (South Korea)
• Ann Lapage (France)
• Xiangyu Zhou (China)
At the end of the final, the prize list chosen by the jury chaired by Michel Arrignon is as follows:
• First Prize: Alessandro Beverari
• Second Prize: Yoonjin Jung
• Third Prize: Tiago Bento
• Best Yokosuka Audience Award: Alessandro Beverari
• Hamanaka Prize: Alessandro Beverari
The great winner of this 2018 edition of the Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition, the fourth one, is Alessandro Beverari who, besides the First Prize, won both Special Prizes.
Congratulations to all the participants who, once again, delighted the spectators with their immense artistic qualities.
